Love Sonnets and Elegies
Louise Labé, essentially the most unique poets of the French Renaissance, released her whole Works round the age of thirty after which disappeared from heritage. Rediscovered within the 19th century, her incandescent love sonnets have been later translated into German through Rilke and seem right here in a revelatory new English model through the award-winning translator Richard Sieburth.
