This booklet undertakes a research of the trope of the possessed baby in literature and movie. It argues that the possessed baby is essentially an American phenomenon which, first, might be traced to the Calvinist bias of the USA as a country based on Puritanism and, moment, to the increase of Catholicism in that kingdom, to which Puritanism owes its origins.
